What is Acupressure

Acupressure is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) energy healing technique and is an alternative to Acupuncture.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the physical body is supported by an underlying energetic body. This energetic body forms a system that Chinese practitioners described with remarkable precision more than 3,000 years ago.

Each person is seen as unique, shaped by their personal history, lifestyle habits, energetic imbalances, and constitutional strengths and weaknesses.

It is important to understand that the various physical, climatic, and emotional traumas of life, along with our lifestyle choices affect this energetic system and disrupt our balance.

These imbalances are invisible to modern diagnostic tools and eventually manifest in the physical body. The energetic body is capable of maintaining an unstable balance for years - it compensates.

Compensation is one of the body’s natural survival mechanisms. However, the body’s ability to compensate depends on each individual’s constitutional strength and overall resilience.

As the body compensates, other systems are often required to carry additional stress, which can eventually lead to overload.

Over time, deeper imbalances may develop, and symptoms of prolonged compensation begin to appear. These symptoms are in fact the body's way of asking for help.

Sinergetic Acupressure

The specific technique I practise is called Sinergetic Acupressure.

The name comes from “Sin”, meaning “heart” in Chinese.

Unlike acupuncture, which uses needles, Sinergetic Acupressure works through touch, using gentle pressure to stimulate numerous points throughout the body.

Sinergetic Acupressure can therefore be experienced as a relaxing, non-invasive alternative to acupuncture, working with the body through touch rather than needles.

I had the great privilege of training in France at La SFERE for 4 years, directly with its founder and creator, Régis Blin.

He has dedicated his life to developing, practising and sharing this unique approach, and to passing his knowledge on to practitioners around the world.

Through his teaching, he has trained thousands of students internationally, building a wealth of practical experience around this system of practice.

It is a technique that has had a profound impact on me personally, and I am delighted to share it with others in the hope that they may experience the benefits in the same way I have.

Where do imbalances come from?

Possible causes include:

Excesses (sport, work, food, drink, drugs,  etc.)

Deficiencies (lack of food or an unbalanced diet)

Lifestyle choices (sleep, diet, exercise)

Physical or emotional trauma

Stress, overwork, overload

Hidden sources of infection

Chemical agents (anesthesia, medication, pollution, etc.)

Climatic aggression (cold, heat, humidity, wind)

Disturbed living environment (geobiology, Feng Shui)

Transgenerational influences
